Our Mission
We are a women-led theatre and arts producing collective based in the UK. Guided by our shared principles of generosity, solidarity and care, we offer a holistic and engaged approach to the companies, organisations and artists we work with.
Coming from very different backgrounds, we have worked on a diverse range of projects and for various clients across theatre, TV and film. Between us we can offer a wide array of different skills and experience, but we are brought together by the same goal – we want to work in a smarter, kinder, more artist-focussed way.
We offer our time and support as individuals and also collectively, or combining different services to cater to the specific needs of our clients. After an initial conversation we will find the best way of supporting your ideas and projects.
How it started
We first met working at Shakespeare’s Globe, working on many challenging and exciting projects.
In 2012 we produced the Globe to Globe Festival as part of the Cultural Olympiad in London, which brought 80% new audiences to the Globe presenting 37 international companies in a period of 6 weeks. Later on, between 2014 and 2016, we took Hamlet to every country in the world over two years to bridge the 450 anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and the 400 anniversary of his death.
Simultaneously we supported the development a rich and exciting programme of opening events and concerts in the newly built Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. The playhouse recalls the layout and style of the Elizabethan Blackfriars Theatre.
Since then we have worked on many different organisations and projects, widening our networks, skills sets and experiences. We remained close, supporting each other through changes and challenges, both personal and professional. This friendship and notion of care inspired us to create The Murmuration, so we can extend this support to other artists and companies that might need it.
